Multidal is the most versatile panel in the ECCO range: a single product to stabilise gravel or create a drivable grassed surface. Its closed base gives it great stability while letting water through, and its clip system keeps the panels together, even on slopes.
Key features of Multidal
Gravel or grass: one panel
Multidal takes any gravel up to 25 mm, or a grass substrate. You can even combine both in the same project: a gravel driving strip with grassed parking spaces.
Stable on slopes up to 20 %
It is the only panel in the ECCO range certified for inclined surfaces up to 20 %. The closed base and clips stop the panels and the gravel from sliding, a common problem with gravel laid without a structure.
Large format, tool-free installation
Almost 0.9 m² per panel for only 3.75 kg: one person can quickly cover a parking space. The panels clip together without tools and unclip without damage for maintenance.

How do you install Multidal with gravel?
- Excavation: dig out and remove the topsoil down to load-bearing ground (minimum bearing capacity 20 MPa).
- Edging: install the edging 2 cm above the level of the panels.
- Sub-base (vehicle areas): at least 25 cm of 0/32 or 0/40 crushed aggregate, in layers of 20 cm maximum, compacted. Avoid crushed brick.
- Bedding layer: grit or crushed sand (0/4, 1/3 or 2/4 mm) compacted and levelled: 5 cm with vehicles, 15 cm without.
- Laying the panels: first panel parallel to the edging, then clip on the next ones. Lay in a staggered pattern: start the 2nd row with a half panel (cut with an angle grinder) and the 3rd row with a full panel.
- Filling: 8 to 25 mm gravel with vehicles, 4 to 25 mm without. Spread without compacting and leave 1 cm (fine gravel) to 2 cm (coarse gravel) above the panels.
