YEED pedestal

YEED stands out for its excellent value for money: sturdy, stable, easy-to-install pedestals in fixed, adjustable and self-leveling versions (ORIGIN range).

YEED, value for money

The YEED brand offers sturdy, stable pedestals at a very competitive price, in adjustable and self-leveling versions, including the ORIGIN range. Laid without glue or grout, a terrace on pedestals stays removable and drains perfectly: water runs off through the joints, air circulates under the slabs and utility ducts pass beneath the surface.

Frequently asked questions

Who makes terrace pedestals?

Several manufacturers share the market: Jouplast (France), YEED (ORIGIN range) and Buzon, among others. At Terrass'Expert, we mainly offer Jouplast and YEED, selected for their reliability on porcelain stoneware terraces.

How long does a YEED pedestal last?

YEED pedestals are made of treated polypropylene that resists UV and frost, for a service life of several decades outdoors.

How long is the warranty on YEED pedestals?

All YEED pedestals come with a ten-year warranty.

Is a YEED pedestal sturdy?

Yes, YEED pedestals are designed for laying porcelain stoneware slabs and bear high loads per pedestal. Each pedestal can bear up to one ton, the equivalent of a filled hot tub. Well distributed, they provide a stable, durable terrace.

What weight can a YEED pedestal bear?

All YEED pedestals bear between 500 and 1000 kg. In practice, the load is spread over all the pedestals; add more under the heaviest areas.

Can I lay a YEED pedestal on any substrate?

Like any pedestal, it needs a load-bearing substrate that is level or can be leveled, and free-draining: concrete, tiles, compacted gravel. The self-leveling version takes up slopes; on loose soil, preparation (gravel plus geotextile) is necessary.

Are YEED pedestals as sturdy as other brands?

Yes, they are designed for the same use: taking 20 mm porcelain stoneware slabs in residential use. The difference lies more in the finish and the breadth of the range than in strength.

What is the ORIGIN range?

ORIGIN is YEED's line of adjustable pedestals, available in standard and self-leveling versions. It covers the most common heights for residential terraces.
