Jouplast Cleman adjustable pedestal

The Jouplast Cleman pedestal in detail

Its height is set to the millimeter by screwing, even after the slabs are laid, using an adjustment key. Laid without glue or grout, a terrace on pedestals stays removable and drains perfectly: water runs off through the joints, air circulates under the slabs and utility ducts pass beneath the surface.

Consider the slab support plate to spread the load under large formats, and the slope corrector if your substrate slopes. See the whole Jouplast pedestal range.

Frequently asked questions

What are Jouplast "Cleman" pedestals?

It is Jouplast's high-end range: pedestals adjustable from above, even once the slabs are laid, with an extended adjustment range and dedicated accessories. For comfortable installation and a premium finish.

What are the advantages of Cleman pedestals?

Adjustment from above (no need to lift the slab to adjust), a wide height range, sturdiness and precision. Ideal for large terraces and demanding installations.

Is it hard to adjust a pedestal from above?

No, that is precisely the Cleman advantage: with an adjustment key or bit, you set the height from the surface, through the joint between slabs, without removing them. Quick and simple, even during installation.

My terrace has moved: how do I level it again?

With Cleman pedestals (adjustable from above), you correct a low spot by adjusting the pedestal concerned from the surface, without taking everything apart. With other pedestals, you need to lift the slab locally to adjust. Also check the cause (settling of the substrate).

Is this pedestal compatible with 20 mm porcelain stoneware slabs?

Yes. This pedestal is sized to take 20 mm ceramic slabs, the standard format for terraces on pedestals, with tabs that ensure an even joint.

How many pedestals should you order?

The number depends on the size of your slabs and the area to cover: one pedestal goes at each corner and is shared by four slabs. Our quantity calculator gives you the total, safety margin included.

Can you adjust the height after installation?

Yes, an adjustment key lets you work through the joint between the slabs, without taking the terrace apart. It is handy for correcting a slight flatness defect afterwards.
