Jouplast Essentiel adjustable pedestal

The Jouplast Essentiel pedestal in detail

Its height is set to the millimeter by screwing, even after the slabs are laid, using an adjustment key. Laid without glue or grout, a terrace on pedestals stays removable and drains perfectly: water runs off through the joints, air circulates under the slabs and utility ducts pass beneath the surface.

Consider the slab support plate to spread the load under large formats, and the slope corrector if your substrate slopes. See the whole Jouplast pedestal range.

Frequently asked questions

How many Jouplast pedestals do I need for my terrace?

Allow about 4 to 5 pedestals per m² depending on the slab size (fewer in 60x60, more in small formats). For an accurate estimate: area divided by the slab size, plus the edge pedestals. We can work it out with you from your dimensions.

What weight can a Jouplast terrace pedestal bear?

Well distributed (4 to 5 per m²), they easily bear furniture and foot traffic; add more under heavy loads. Each pedestal can individually bear up to 1 ton.

Which Jouplast pedestal for a terrace?

It depends on the substrate: Essentiel adjustable for everyday use on a level substrate, Cleman for adjustment from above, self-leveling for a sloping substrate. All are compatible with 20 mm porcelain stoneware.

How do you fit rubber pads on a Jouplast pedestal?

The anti-noise rubber pad (shock-absorbing pad) goes on the pedestal head, between the pedestal and the slab: it is placed or clipped onto the plate before the slab is laid. It absorbs impacts and reduces resonance noise.

What are Jouplast "Essentiel" pedestals?

It is Jouplast's entry-level range: reliable, economical pedestals covering everyday needs (adjustable, self-leveling), with compatible accessories (slab support plate, extension…). The right balance between sturdiness and price.

What are the advantages of Essentiel pedestals?

Affordable price, Jouplast sturdiness, simple installation and compatibility with the brand's accessories. Ideal for a standard porcelain stoneware terrace, on a level or slightly uneven substrate.

How much does a terrace on Jouplast Essentiel pedestals cost per m²?

The Essentiel range is designed to keep the pedestal budget under control without compromising on reliability. A terrace with the Essentiel range starts at €8.50 per square meter, excluding accessories (acoustic rubber pad, slab support plate, finishing profiles) and surface covering.

Is this pedestal compatible with 20 mm porcelain stoneware slabs?

Yes. This pedestal is sized to take 20 mm ceramic slabs, the standard format for terraces on pedestals, with tabs that ensure an even joint.

How many pedestals should you order?

The number depends on the size of your slabs and the area to cover: one pedestal goes at each corner and is shared by four slabs. Our quantity calculator gives you the total, safety margin included.

Can you adjust the height after installation?

Yes, an adjustment key lets you work through the joint between the slabs, without taking the terrace apart. It is handy for correcting a slight flatness defect afterwards.
