Slab support plate for Jouplast Essentiel pedestals. The slab support plate is the accessory that perfects the finishes of a paving terrace on pedestals. It is used in 3 situations: along the edges, in the corners of the terrace, and for laying slabs against a wall. It thus allows a skirting to be created and holds slabs placed against a facade.

The side tiles laid on slab support plates and fixing kits must be at least 2 cm thick. The anti-slip insulation pad is placed on the plate, or under it as a cushion: not mandatory, it is strongly recommended to stabilize the surface as well as possible.

Which pedestals are compatible with the slab support plate?

The slab support plate is compatible with all pedestals in the Jouplast Essentiel range, except the low models: 10 mm and 8/20 mm pedestals. It fits directly onto the pedestal head.

Using the slab support plate for pedestal terraces

Depending on its location, the slab support plate performs several roles:

• Along the edges and in the corners: combined with the side cladding support, it holds and supports a skirting.
• Against a wall: it allows slabs placed against the facade to be laid and stabilized.

This gives your tiled pedestal terrace attractive finishes. Combined with the cladding support, it allows a finish with skirting, an invisible finish or building steps.

The plate is placed directly on the pedestal head around the terrace perimeter, without tools. It can be glued using the glue traps on its edges.

Note: once clipped on, the slab support plate adds 13 mm to the height of your pedestal. Include this value when calculating the pedestal height to set your adjustments correctly for the difference in level to be made up.
